Hello! I'm Demi Wallace
I am a graduate from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Design (Graphic Design + Photography). I grew up in Denver, Colorado so anything outdoors excites me, whether that's skiing, hiking, or running. I grew up traveling abroad, so shooting anywhere international is my dream! I am the youngest of three girls, and cherish the time I get to spend with my family. Some other things I love are fashion, yoga+pilates, and health. Although my current niche is weddings and portraits, I have experience in studio & product photography as well.
My passion for photography sprouted when I was just a sophomore in high school. My parents had a Canon t5i that always sat on the shelf in my moms office. One day I asked her, "Are you ever going to use this, because I sure will if you don't!" After adopting the camera as my own, I started doing random photoshoots with my friends. I offered my cousin to take her senior photos for free, and after received so many compliments on them. From that point on, I felt motivated to start a small business of my own. When I first gained interest in weddings, I asked my mom's friend if I could practice my skills at her wedding. Although I agreed to not get in the way of their hired photographer, I graciously sent her all the photographs I had taken and edited them for free. After doing so, I was surprised to find out that she liked my pictures more than the ones from the photographer she had hired. In her words she said "you captured the feeling of my day through raw emotion and little moments". Since that experience, those words have been the biggest instigator of how I create and what I deliver to all of my clients. To me, photographs are not just snapshots of moments but keepsakes of feelings and memories. I love shooting people because of the connections I can make with my clients. Seeing them happy is everything and makes me love what I do even more.
